Well, I pretty much grew up with Britney. The Blackout era coincided with my teenage years, so in terms of the image and message that the era was sending out, I was all about it. When it came down to what was actually happening to Britney, I couldn’t help but feel saddened by the whole thing. It was, however, a true testament to how human Britney was and the effect that public scrutiny could have on a individual who didn’t deserve such treatment could have. I remained by her side not only because the rebellious message hit home at the time, but because she needed people who truly cared for her more than ever.
