On the 2nd anniversary of Christina Aguilera’s Bionic.

In every pop musician’s career, there is a defining point that completely changes the magnitude of that musician’s entire persona and influence on the pop game. For artists like Britney Spears and Beyoncé, these moments have catapulted them into a domain of stardom unlike any other. Britney’s moment came in the form of a sex romp party that she titled I’m a Slave 4 U. Beyoncé’s came in the form of boisterous trumpet fanfare and a killer runway strut in Crazy in Love. Unfortunately for Christina Aguilera, this moment came in the form of what is the most infamous misstep in contemporary pop history, Bionic.

Today marks the second anniversary of Bionic, an album released by Christina Aguilera after a four year hiatus. While critical reviews and sales may not indicate it, this album is by far one of the most important moments of any pop star’s history. This album singlehandedly changed the direction of music, not by directing artists in the right direction, but by demonstrating to other artists what the WRONG direction was. Like a totaled car in the middle of the road, Bionic flopped destructively so that other artists could flourish.

No other artist’s complete and utter failure has been as important as Aguilera’s. While other albums flop and fall off the radar every other day, Bionic remains a reminder of how vulnerable musicians become when they let their ego get the best of them. All that Aguilera had to do was act like a total bitch throughout its promotion, shade other artists, and release one of the worst lead singles ever, and she sabotaged her own success. Its catastrophic failure is impossible to ignore, as the album has yet to go gold yet (two years after its release) and Aguilera’s first tour since 2006 was canceled shortly after it was announced. It not only debuted at #3 before falling off the charts, it debuted behind a Glee compilation soundtrack and a Twilight movie soundtrack.

At the heart of this massive failure are Christina Aguilera’s fans, which hail from all over the world (mostly in Southern American inner cities with no television sets and a complete lack of taste). These fans have made up for their inability to purchase Bionic through their astonishing ability to ignore how monumental of a failure this album was for their idol. To this day, there are Christina Aguilera fanatics patiently waiting for Aguilera to announce the postponement date for the Bionic tour while crediting their idol for the successes of things like Moves Like Jagger or The Voice. This level of delusion is simply heartwarming, poignant, and perhaps somewhat alarming to the rest of us.

With all of that being said, let us celebrate today as the day that one of the pop industry’s biggest failures began to snowball. With Bionic, Christina Aguilera unknowingly became the martyr of the pop industry and gave us all something to eternally laugh at. While we could only wonder if Aguilera learns from her mistakes and makes a proper comeback someday, it’s hard to say whether or not Bionic may play a part in her possible failures through the rest of her career.

africancumquac reblogged your post: africancumquac answered your question: BASIC BITCH…

um no going to preform for money over respect is being a sellout i don’t even know why you bring up pusha t and that whole diss post full of irrelevant shit
sensitive my ass its call respect maybe if you have some you’ll understand.

First of all, I’m gonna need you to come at me with correct sentence structure, because your hoodrat is showing. Second, respect is given where respect is earned. She should have come out and EARNED everyone’s respect instead of acting like an entitled brat and pulling out of the show. Third, the Pusha T diss moment is NOT irrelevant because it’s a contributing factor to the amount of embarrassment that YMCMB is willing to put up with. Fourth, I don’t think someone who hasn’t even gone gold yet with their album can afford to choose respect over money.

From the looks of it, you’re look as if you’re pretty familiar with the concept of disappointment, so I’m gonna let you steam up some more over this. Have fun coming up with half-assed excuses for someone who can’t take a critic lightly.

africancumquac answered your question: BASIC BITCH ALERT: Alleged Rapper Nicki Minaj skips out on Summerjam thanks to Radio DJ

lol no it wasn’t her decsion to leave it was wayne you basic bitch

How does that make it any better? If she really cared for her fans, she would’ve pushed to still play the show. Whatever, I mean if I was Weezy, after the whole Ghoulish/Pusha T ether moment, I’d try and avoid confrontation as well. The fact of the matter is that they are both sensitive basic bitches and this summerjam shit has proven how big of a sellout BOTH of them are. Deal with it bitch.

BASIC BITCH ALERT: Alleged Rapper Nicki Minaj skips out on Summerjam thanks to Radio DJ

Always being one for controversy, Nicki Minaj caught everyone’s attention yesterday at Hot97’s Summerjam concert when she pulled out as a headlining act midshow. Radio DJ Peter Rosenberg had called Nicki Minaj out, saying that she wasn’t “real hip-hop” and said that “starships shit” was “whack.” Check out the video below:

After these shots were fired, Nicki had apparently been given the go-ahead to pull out of the show by the Queen of Whacky Leggings himself, Weezy. She then tweeted the following:

Wow. U niggaz just fucked up history. But the President has spoken.#YMCMB. I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes.

I think I might be speaking for everyone when I say that Nicki’s high maintenance shit is getting kind of old. Bitch, your newest album hasn’t even gone GOLD yet and you are on some whacked-out shit. You should have taken today as an opportunity to peddle that bipolar sellout album of yours and maybe try to convince another handful of people to buy it instead of acting like a butthurt wuss. Did Rosenberg lie when he said that you weren’t a real hip hop artist? I mean shit, you’re pretty much putting all of your energy into your mainstream friendly singles like Starships and Right By My Side and then serving us your rap tracks like Beez in the Trap featuring that remedial ass 2Chainz as an after-dinner mint. Truth is, Rosenberg wasn’t only right in saying that you weren’t real hip hop, but he also forgot to call out a complete sellout.

I won’t say that I’m 100% behind Rosenberg’s timing of the comments, as they seemed a bit opportunistic and haughty. What should have been done by Nicki, however, is anything but retreat from the scene. What should have occurred is an epic wigsnatching by Nicki the minute she got onto stage. She was headlining the damn thing, so she was in a position to belittle Rosenberg from the start. She should have came at 300% and showed that midget Radio DJ who’s boss. Instead, Nicki made a fool out of ALL OF HER FANS and backed out of the show. Anyone who says otherwise is an enabler of her sellout behavior.

Nicki Minaj’s actions today at Hot97’s Summerjam 2012 are symbolic, to say the least. Hot97’s Summerjam is a big hip hop lineup in what is one of the biggest areas of hip hop. For Nicki to have backed out shortly after being called out by a Jewish Radio DJ is not only weak, but it pretty much represents her withdrawal from the Hip Hop community as a serious figure. Everyone is quick to call her the ‘black lady gaga,’ but I have to disagree. Gaga got death threats from religious extremists and still insisted on playing the show. Nicki Minaj got called ‘whack’ by a Radio DJ and backed out of the show immediately. Nicki wishes she had the confidence or backbone that Gaga has.

Anonymous asked: What are your feelings on Catherine de Medici? I think she was kind of whore bag gold digger. Bitch needs to let go of the fact that her parents died when she was a child!! A lot of people have a tough child hood. That doesn't mean you can get married at the age of 14 to take over France.

You know, Catherine de Medici is a pretty important figure in history. If you take a look at her history, you can see that she is one of the first Momagers that managed to make a living off of milking her children! Not to discredit her basic bitch status, as she wasn’t taken seriously until she unlocked that clown car vagina of hers and gave birth to like 8 or 9 kids, but she really knew how to milk those kids for what they were worth. I mean, after her husband died, she started marrying off her kids (and Margaret, who was married off to Navarre, even had a failed marriage and returned to Catherine’s court) and was making all sorts of decisions for her children.

If anything, Catherine de Medici can be looked to as a case study of basic bitches, mostly because all of her offspring and herself WERE basic bitches. In fact, she influenced a lot of basic bitches throughout our history to utilize her offspring. If you think about it, she doesn’t sound too different from someone that we all know…

Anonymous asked: Nicole Scherzinger has one Top 40 hit in America. BOW DOWN

Oh man, laughed way harder than I should have at that one. Then again, that’s the only thing Shitswinger is inspiring these days: laughter.
